KEY FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Volunteer Coordination

      • Management of all Referred Volunteers, including Working For the Dole (WFD) staff attendance
      • Coordinate volunteer availability; creating weekly Rosters and distributing these to Volunteers
      • Allocation of all Volunteering staff tasks and supervision of task performance and lunch breaks.
      • Induction training of new staff
      • Volunteer recruitment, responding to Volunteering requests, communications with staffing agencies
      • Liaising with organisations for corporate volunteers
      • Administration of phone calls and social media messages (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and Whatsapp), responding and escalating accordingly 
      • Photography of daily activities for community updates on social media, obtaining permission or obfuscating identifying features prior to posting
      • Maintenance of Volunteer information, administrative Forms and Databases for the day-to-day running of CSS
      • Ensure all Health & Safety, Covid-19 restrictions, CSS Policies and procedures are adhered to by all Volunteers

      Village Pantry Supervision

      • Management of the Village Pantry’s daily operations such as food pickup from providers; display or delivery preparation, sorting, organisation and storage of produce; delegation of tasks to WFD clients, volunteers and drivers, scheduling of deliveries to clients unable to come into CSS.
      • Administration of VP client lists, payments and donations
      • Communications with food providers, staff and clients 
      • Management of SecondBite website and logging of produce 
      • Management of Good360 website and submission of Impact Stories where directed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar supervisory position
  • Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills 
  • Organised and able to take instructions well
  • Takes initiative and able to work independently when required
  • Friendly and approachable manner, both in person and over the phone
  • Ability to manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management
  • Team player
  • Flexible in undertaking additional tasks in the organization if requested
