Position Summary
Community Support Services Incorporated needs a trustworthy and responsible volunteer recruitment and training coordinator. This is a voluntary position, but applicants can get assistance paying their fines through Word Development Order.
Responsibilities Summary:
- Assist with Regular Admin staff, including Volunteer recruitment and training.
- Coordinate all volunteer activities and divide staffing within the active initiatives/organisational needs.
- Assist management in sourcing volunteers and having an efficient operation of day to day activities.
- Communicate promptly with volunteers, assisting them with all their enquiries and needs.
- Identify and assess future and current organisational staffing needs
- Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
- Monitor and evaluate volunteers contributions and develop skill-development plans for them
Skills and experience needed:
- Familiarity with the entire recruitment and training lifecycle
- Tech-savvy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple calendars
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Critical-thinking skills
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
- Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
- Good computer and database skills
- BSc in Business, HR, Psychology, Communications or relevant field
Additional Considerations
- On job training provided
- Work Development Orders can be issued to assist with paying off any unpaid fines that an applicant may have
- Time required – up to 20 hours per week, flexible. Option to do some of the hours from home
- Commitment – weekdays Monday to Friday 9 am to 2 pm
